On Board – sail away

We are unpacked and enjoying a glass of champagne before the safety drill and dinner. All those bags actually fit in this room! Tonight we will enjoy some rock and roll by the Bluejays and then crash.

Tomorrow is an “at sea” day – can’t wait.

Steve found this Emily Dickinson poem below for a reflection.

Exultation is the going [76]
by Emily Dickinson

Exultation is the going
Of an inland soul to sea,
Past the house, past the headland
Into deep Eternity

Bred as we, among the mountains,
Can the sailor understand
The divine intoxication
Of the first league out from land?
